On google maps, search Sprinfield to Norton, VA to Dade City. It is right at 20 hours of driving.
Once you get down to Asheville, NC, you can cut across NC toward Myrtle Beach or south on towards Hilton Head. We have a Ford F250 and a 38' 5'er that we have towed this direction.
It is about 8 1/2 hrs from you, but Natural tunnel State Park would be a great 2nd night stop. It has sites that will fit up to 80 feet long, so you should not have a problem with that as long as you are in Lover's Leap Campground (they have 2 different campgrounds).
NTSP gets a lot of Ohio traffic for the Bristol Motor Speedway races throughout the year and they use the Rt 23 route.
