Bill, if you jump into Google Maps, type in the name of the place then shift from map to sat view, you will be able to see all.

The Gila Box is nice for desertcamping. So is an area right across the NM line in AZ called BlackJack campground. It has outhouses. But its in ponderosa pines and junipers, if that matters. Both areas are about 1.5 to 2 hr drive east of Tucson.

Or Old Pueblo.

Might check out Parker and Lake Havasu City. Both on the Colorado river.

Why not pick a nice RV park with full hookups?

If you want true boondocking (no outhouse, I don't believe) here is a place at Tucson and it's near the great hiking of Tucson Mountain Park.
