Recommendations for asateague island

Looking for recommendations on a good campsite. Electric would be nice, but I don't know if that is even offered at the seashore
  • There is nothing left at Assateague State Park for late September with electric for more than 1 night. If you can wait until early October, there are sites available. There are plenty of sites available without electricity, and all the sites are close to the beach.

    Reservations
  • Well i was able to get a site! No electricity, but it was one of the few left in late Sept. Oceanside Loop 1. Site 008.
  • I was just looking and I can't find any outlook on the use of a generator while camping. I was just wondering what hours they allow use in, or if they even allow use at all
  • They do allow generators in Maryland state campground. Not sure about the national section. Not sure what hours, but I recall seeing it on their website last year. About half the sites were running generators when I was there last August

There is one no gen loop in the National Park side. All the ocean side sites are generator. For those that enjoyed the beach side camping at the national park, they told us this year that these spots will be abandoned beginning next year and new site will be built across the road. It's costing too much to constantly dig out the beach sites.
