- FreightguyExplorerThank you so much! Exactly the kind of insider scoop I was hoping for. I will research these places. Happy Travels.

Going east to west: We like the KOA in Sallisaw, OK. Long, level shady pull thrus with cable TV. There is a small Cherokee Casino at the same exit which we like. In Oklahoma City we also like Twin Fountains RV Park but I would call and make reservations and make sure they know you have a 40'. On the west side of Oklahoma City is a fairly new park - Mustang Run at exit 138. Long paved level pull thrus with cable TV and wi-fi. About $5 cheaper than Twin Fountains. Not as pretty as Twin Fountains. Farther west is Elk City-Clinton KOA. Long level pull thrus. Latest reviews said cable TV was fuzzy. If you make it to Amarillo, we like Oasis RV Park there. Long level paved pull thrus. No shade but nice park. - rk911Explorer

Yes RK911 you did give a good recommendation. Thank you for that. I was hoping someone would say "oh yeah you have to check out this place..." As far as my needs and wants, I like to be on the outskirts of a city with good phone service as I work, then a short ride to the local bar & Grill for supper and if there is some kind of attraction to see while we there thats great too!
if by city you mean large, urban area then you're pretty much limited to metro OKC and Tulsa. we always pass thru Tulsa and stay in OKC for 1-3 days on our way out west. - sdianel_-acct_cExplorerGoing east to west: We like the KOA in Sallisaw, OK. I am just looking for rv parks that are fine for a 40 motorhome along I-40 in Oklahoma. Let me know what you know please about the ones to go to and why and the ones no too. Is there any attractions along this route? Etc...
Thanks
I don't believe their is a "road planner" per se. but surely the OP generally knows what areas along I-40 in OK where he'll be staying. ?? It's not a big state and can easily be crossed in a few hours.
nope, very nice state, actually. earlier, I gave you a recommendation for OK City but if you don't know where you want to stay, even generally, then we can't provide much help. do you like full hook-up commercial campgrounds, municipal parks, forest, lakes, secluded, lots of stuff for the kids to do, nowhere near kids or anything else that breathes...ya gotta give us something to go on. - FreightguyExplorerNot looking to simply cross it and I dont know where I want to stay, that is the reason for posting the questions.

Moved from Class A forum. - FreightguyExplorerThe post was not directed at you specifically, therefore if you dont know you dont have to comment, I am looking for experienced Class A motor homers to chime in.

We have no idea where you want to stop for the day. There are many RV parks along I-40.
You might want to use the above-mentioned link: RV Park Reviews and click on a couple towns you're approaching. You really can't go wrong for a one-night stay. Safe travels! - FreightguyExplorerCan you please show me where the route planner is on RVParkreviews.com? I cant find it, I use that site all the time and you must know something I do not.
