You do realize that Recreation.GOV is Reserve America?
They have the contract with all the federal agencies.
Yes, wrong prices can be posted. We researched an issue with Winhall Brook COE CG in Vermont earlier this year - and found that the COE had set a date for new reservations to be at a higher price, which was being charged. But COE had not given Reserve America an updated individual campsite price list.
The federal government, over 40 states and some private campgrounds all use Reserve America.
One reason for confusion when you call them is that every agency, every state, every private CG company has different rules, fees, etc.
