We would like to visit the RGV area this coming winter. We walk a lot so would prefer parks within walking distance(a mile) to stores (Walmart, Grocery Stores) etc. Would like something away from ...

Stayed in RGV 3 times at Bentsen Grove in Mission, Victoria Palms, Donna, and Llano Grande in Mercedes. None were close to stores but there are hundreds of parks in the valley. Suggest you look at something like rvparkreviews to find something. Prices can be great but I would stay closer to the coast (Padre) next time if possible. Its a long drive from a place like Mission.
