We also enjoyed the KOA on SPI, we stayed for a few days at the county park then moved to the KOA when we got tired of the stickers. As for salt, we've seen it on the pacific coast of Mexico as well, we don't have any shiny chrome to worry about, although the frame of our 5er could have done with some painting after a couple of winters!
