RGV weather this year

I know this can get to be touchy. Someone from south FL always has to try to start something and then it goes sideways quickly. :)

So I'm stuck in IL this winter. I have not watched southern weather too much, except mostly in AZ where we wanted to be. But when I've noticed the temps for the RGV, they are cold.

Is my impression correct? Has it been cold there this winter? If so, is it a normal winter, or worse than normal?

After four winters in the lower RGV I would say it has been better then normal.
  • One of our cooler winters. No records though. Over 80 degrees today and won't make 60 tomorrow. We are going to hold off a day or two for our weekly trip to Nuevo Progreso.

Oh yeah, it is better than the Midwest.

The reason I stated the above was that this winter I only had to have my propane tanks filled once. The other years it's been 2 - 4 times. I do heat with two ceramic heaters in addition to the RV furnace. Not real scientific, but I'm thinking more real life then what the weather records portray.
