RGV weather this year

I know this can get to be touchy. Someone from south FL always has to try to start something and then it goes sideways quickly. :)

So I'm stuck in IL this winter. I have not watched southern weather too much, except mostly in AZ where we wanted to be. But when I've noticed the temps for the RGV, they are cold.

Is my impression correct? Has it been cold there this winter? If so, is it a normal winter, or worse than normal?
  • After 52 winters in northern Illinois anywhere in south Texas is better in the winter.
  • We have had quite a few cool rainy days and quite a few days in the 70's and 80,s. All was good until Christmas, since then not so good. All 70,s and 80's this coming week though. No killing frosts for the past 3 years, low this year was a 37 for the Mission Texas area. Could be better, could be worse.

    :?

Watching the weather station on TV should give you the answers you need. Then you won't have to get upset about the Snowbirds in Florida! :W
  • We were in the RGV in Dec and the weather was crappy so we bailed out for FL. Much better here and a lot more sun and things to do...
