Rincon East or West

DH and I are considering one of the Rincon parks in Tucson Az. this yearfor a month, does anyone have any suggestions which is better the East side or West side. I appreciate any assistance you can give us. Thx.
  • If you like hiking, you are close to the Tucson Mountain Park staying at Rincon West.
  • Actually, Rincon East is closer to the D-M AFB, but not under the take off or landing flight line.

Rincon West appears to be in the direct flight line of air traffic from Tucson Intn'l Airport, not the base.

Voyager is also nearer to the airpot, than the base, but south east of the airport, instead of northwest of it like Rincon West. Voyager is not far off I-10 on the outer edge of Tucson. Rincon West is near I-19 far west side of Tucson.
  • We visited some friends at Rincon West 2 years ago, never seen the East park. I would not stay there due to the proximity to the base. The plane noise was VERY loud. We stayed at Voyager on Kolb Road, really liked it and the friendliness of everyone. We did get some plane noise there but NOTHING like Rincon West.
  • Never been by Rincon West, but stayed at Rincon East for 5 days in Sept. Didn't do any of their offerings, except swimming in the pool.

Our daughter lives a block or two from the park.

The restroom & showers were clean by the pool, but didn't see the exercise room or any others. We had the pool mainly to ourselves. Had cable. A quiet park. Not real busy this time of year. A lot of park models & setup RVs, most seemed empty, but some with people. A very large place, did see but a small area. Staff were friendly as well guests.

LadyHawk, Our Five YO Grandson & I got to go swimming each evening we were there in the pool at the park. Our Daughter did each day but one. She wanted to get food ready for supper. Her Hubby was able to go swimming twice as well, the first day & the last. We all had a great time.
  • I have never stayed at either park but visited both several years ago. Talked to employees, got tours etc. From that alone it appeared to us they were equal. Our children live on the west side of Tucson so that would have been that we based our decision had we stayed in one of them only reason we did not stay either place was because we managed to get on DM Air Force Base.
