We camped there two years ago in March. Only the loop near the check in station was open and we were the only ones there. We were in either 12, 14, or 16, can't remember which. It was absolutely beautiful, peaceful and quiet - one of our favorite parks ever (though it was empty, which could be a factor). We didn't know there was a swimming pool, we spent our time wandering along the stream. DH actually caught a fish in it. Idyllic is the best word.
If the campground is crowded, you will have a different experience. The sites on that side were easy to back into, angled well, but you have to go around the loop to get there and again, if it is crowded and people have their stuff/cars/ rigs all over the place, it may be a little more difficult. the road itself is wide enough. You do have a small site directly across from you and if their rig/truck combo doesn't fit into their site, it will make entering yours a little more difficult. But I am trying to paint a worse case scenario.
It's a beautiful place.
