Not a lot of people know of this place in the city of Frederick behind the Lowes store -- IMHO would be much cheaper than most and they will do a deal for an extended stay -- I looked at it once to used for an extended stay to not have to commute -- but I just did the commute to Frederick from Annapolis for 90 days. I've seen everything in it from Prevost to 20' TT most tenants are long term.

Looks like you are kind od locked into Cherry Hill. It's pricey, but its nice. They used to have a dog walk service($). I work across the street from there and I go to the store once in a while to get supplies. There always appears to be someone that is a contractor there.

Don't sweat the traffic. You'll figure it out.

Forgot to mention one thing, he will want to bring his dog, so the room to rent option is probably out, but thanks for the advice.

The closest you will find that may allow long term is Cherry Hill Campground. But the drive from College Park to Rockville is very traffic heavy. There are a few trailer parks in the area north west of Rockville, but all of the remaining RV campgrounds either have stay restrictions for 14-20 days or are at least an hours drive from Rockville without traffic.

I would consider finding a room to rent, it will be cheaper and finding something short term might work out better. When I have had to do that for contracting work before I had my RV, I have luck with roomates.net and while less luck, I still had some with craigslist.

Its a very college heavy are and he may even have luck finding a student house that might need a roomate for the summer.

A bit further north (it'd be a healthy commute to a congested area) is Ramblin' Pines.

You have Cherry Hill Campground which is just north of Univ Of Maryland, right in that area...can give that a start..Chuck
