A front hitch is a great idea. The only problem is that we would be towing the trailer into the pad on a very narrow forest road -- nowhere to turn the trailer around, unless I can rotate it in place.

I should add that this is a little single axle trailer, thank goodness -- this would be a really hard maneuver with a dual axle, even though I think duals are superior for most purposes.
