We do have an extra-large tongue wheel -- I built it myself, using a foot-plate from a big fifth wheel. And the wheel will roll on hard dirt. In soft dirt, we would have to put down plywood -- we bring several two foot by one foot pieces of 3/4 inch ply with us.
I doubt I would buy and bring a trailer valet for this purpose -- this is not something we need every time, and we never know when or if we will need to rotate the trailer.
Thanks for all of the ideas and suggestions -- we will just have to give this a try next time we go camping. I will take pictures -- even if this is a failure, it should make for some entertaining photos! ;)
