Route ideas/ Campgrounds near Cape Coral, Fl, Tampa, St Pete

Planning a trip mid March from Myrtle Beach to Key West, then crossing Fl to west coast - plan to visit friends in Cape Coral, then North Point, Tampa/St Pete areas, then return back to MB. Traveling...

Florida State Parks are some of the best in the country. Collier-Seminole is at the southern end of your west coast route. Oscar Scherer at Venice is in the middle and Myakka River is inland of Sarasota. I believe that all have upgraded FHU CG. Further north there are a number of FSP built around Florida's fantastic springs. Rainbow Springs, Homosassa Springs, and Manatee Springs are some of them.
