We run that route several times a year, including to Vegas and St George. We refuse to use I-15 because of the traffic for 100 miles around SLC and out of control drivers. US-93 is a very good 2 lane road and the NV DOT keeps it in good condition, even during snow storms. When you get to Ely, take US-6 west 22 miles to NV-318 then 318 back to US-93 and then to I-15, about 15 miles outside North Las Vegas. Much better route and saves you over 50 miles. We will be running that way in 10 days, on our way to Yuma.
