In Tusayan, we boondocked off the FS 302, one mile from the entrance to the park. Great camping, secluded, quiet, and truly in the forest. You can actually walk to town, less than 1/4 mile to Tusayan. We loved it and it was free. There were only two other rvs within sight. There is another boondocking spot inside the park but I can't find it right now.
