RV campgrounds near Yosemite NP

We stayed at the Yosemite Lakes CG, the Thousand Trails site. We are members, so didn't pay for it directly. A lot of TT CGs are not well kept, but Yosemite Lakes was by far the nicest TT we have been to this year. Beautiful sites. Somehow I chose the worst way to drive up to Yosemite and suggest getting some advice on the best route to use. I can't remember what route I used, but it was the worst drive of the year with narrow roads and "twisties" going straight up (and down). Found out apon arrival there are easier ways to get there.

Keep in mind that day passes are still required for Yosemite(until 9/30) and that's after the entry fee. It's only a few dollars but you have to get one "before" you drive up to the entrance gate.
