RV Park in Myrtle Beach and Charleston

You can't leave Ocean Lakes with a gulf cart rented from them but you can rent them down town and after it's delivered to you ,you can take it out of the park.

Mid Oct. is ok, both state parks are nice, on the ocean. Would have to call a taxi to take you to go out to eat. I believe Ocean Lakes , rents out golf carts. You would have the google these places and see what they offer. All the ones I listed in my post are on the ocean.

You will need a rental car. Not a small confined area. I agree no chain restaurants. Support the small guy and better food most of the time.

We are looking to go around the middle of October. This will be our first adventure and we are coming from Eastern PA. We don't need much to occupy us, but just like to walk around and see the sites and enjoy some nice meals. We are not chain food lovers, so being close to better restaurants would be great. So out of all the ones mentioned in Myrtle Beach, what would be the nicest area? Thank you all!

PS what time of the year? Have to watch out for those bike rallies.

Myrtle Beach, Lakewood Camp Grounds, Ocean Lakes, Pirateland, Huntington State Park, Myrtle Beach State Park

In Charlestown we stayed at James Island county park. It's is fhu and they have a shuttle that will take you to the city or Folly Beach. In Myrtle most of the parks are located along Kings Highway which has plenty of places to eat. We stayed at Pirateland and love it. You may want to check a map as there are a couple of cg closer to the downtown. We preferred to stay away from the hubbub.

We stayed here once. you can walk to a bunch of stuff from there. Not on ocean though....
