RV Park reviews are great IF you use them for your situation only. For instance, if one person trashes the pool, so what...I don't plan to use the pool. If one person complains about the bathrooms/showers, again, I don't care since I have my own bath and shower. If a person complains because his big rig had a little trouble getting to his camp site, then I know my rig will fit. If the WIFI is marginal, I carry my own internet service and do not depend on a park's WIFI. What I am mostly looking for is a nice quite place to park for the night. Easy in and easy out with maybe a clear shot for my satellite receiver. Sometimes I have to wade through a few reviews to find my answers but that is OK.
As mentioned RV Park reviews are much better than Good Sams or Woodalls comments about an RV Park. They never trash a park that pays to get in to their book. The park's website is usually useless, although it is good to find layout, etc. Usually the pictures at the park's website are old and staged photos that do not accurately depict what the park is really like. Reading the reviews, it is easy to weed out those posts by the park owner or his friends. They are so glowing that you have to wonder why they do not add valet parking to their list of amenities.
Since we never make reservations, because we do not travel with a schedule, I have no problem pulling into a park, and leaving again if it does not meet my expectations.
When I write my reviews on an RV Park, it is based on my wants and needs, and I do not comment on amenities that I do not use.
