I like Grand Lake. It's on the south end of the RMN Park. It's more scenic and not as crowded as Estes Park. There is national park camping inside the south entrance. And some private ones south.
There is more camping on the lakes south in Granby.
The downside is that most of the public camping don't have hook ups.
