- kalynzooExplorerMy favorite is Petaluma KOA. We've been there many times and plan to go again this summer. A gem in the KOA franchise. Just over the Golden Gate from the pier district. Costco nearby (the crab is much cheaper at Costco than on the pier). Anyway, that's our choice.
- stevekkExplorerDid you pay 100 bucks?
According to their web site the rate starts at $75. - mikimExplorerWe just stayed at the Marin RV Park in July 2015. Would stay here again but it is not fancy. We only slept and showered at the site.....But, they just and I mean JUST raised their rates to $100 per night. Good Sam and AAA do get a 10% discount!!!
- tropical_ronExplorerOK, if you want pool and all, San Francisco RV RESORT is the place. We stayed there in 87 when it was nothing but a parking lot with showers. My, how times have changed. We still preferred Marin Park, no stress with traffic, nice boat ride past Alcatraz into the city.
- tropical_ronExplorerWe stayed at Marin Park in Greenbrae,CA. 5-10 minute walk to ferry landing that takes you right to Pier 1 in San Francisco. We avoided all the hassles of getting around the city by using trolley service to do tourist stuff. Highly recommended. The park is not fancy, no activities but very convenient to SF.
- 4X4DodgerExplorer IIThe San Francisco RV RESORT in Pacifica CA is the closest nicest campground in my opinion in the entire area.
Less than 15 minutes to downtown, right on the beach, nice park, nice people. Look it up. - stevekkExplorerWe have stayed many times here and really like it.
Marinrvpark.com in Greenbrae, CA.
Not a real fancy park but clean and OK. Nice staff.
But its pricey...about $75 w/ good sam.
The nicest thing is you can walk to the Ferry and for $5 senior rate go into San Francisco.
Great boat ride and views.
Lots of places/ shopping to walk to from Park. You do not need a Toad.
