- MountainAir05Explorer IICarlsbad KOA, A lot of things to see around there.
- mdanielson55Exploreron hy 62 and the park road in white city on the sw corner there is a grocery store. you will pay for the rv spots there and the rv park is about 100 yds west on the park road there is a sign on the left side of the road.park is gravel not great not bad not expensive. enjoy the cave
- Sandia_ManExplorer IIIf you are staying a night or two to just visit the caverns there is an RV park called White's City on the road leading to the caverns. Definitely a no frills park and is the closest to the caverns, if you plan to spend a few days exploring the area check RvParkReviews.com for other options. We stay at Brantley Lake state park when in the area, nice open spaces that have a cement patio, sturdy built shelter with table and half walls to cut down on wind.
- Johno02ExplorerWE liked Brantley Lake Park also.
- BB_TXNomadThe RV park at White City is convenient. But just passing by it, not sure I would stay there. And the reviews on rvparkreviews.com are pretty bad.
KOA and Brantley Lake both get good reviews. But both are well north of the town of Carlsbad, and the caverns are well south of town. Good road, but 50 miles or so one way. But you probably will only do the drive one day and one time. We stayed at the KOA, and would again.
There are some other RV parks in the town of Carlsbad, but I do not know any thing about those other than the reviews on rvparkreviews.com. - rk911Explorer

Like to find a pull through lot as I will be driving 37 ft with motorcycle trailer.
avoid the White City RV park and motel!! filthy place. the last, and only, time we were there they allowed horses to roam freely and horses being horses do what all of God's creatures do...and they did it everywhere. and i mean everywhere. Brantley Lake state park is exquisite but they may not have many, or any, pull thrus. - Chum_leeExplorerStayed at Whites City RV Park for 3 days 5 years ago. Your rig will fit.
Then is was a no frills park and it is as close as you will get to the caverns. Years ago it had fallen into disrepair and the owner was there daily making repairs/improvements so I don't know how they have progressed since staying there. Full hookups, showers, internet, and laundry worked fine. The Walmart in Carlsbad allows overnight parking in a pinch but its a ways away. Buy your supplies before leaving Carlsbad if you are coming from the north.
Chum lee - 2gypsies1Explorer IIIWe stay at Brantley Lake State Park
- CT_WANDERERExplorerWe overnighted at Guadalupe Mountains National Park on the way to Carlsbad on Route 180. There is a steep climb getting to Guadalupe NP. but the drive after that was not bad and not that far. No hookups there.
- KazExplorerWe headed there in a couple weeks, and based on the research I did we're staying at the KOA north of town. I know it's a ways away, but an hour or so each way seems tolerable for a one-day visit. YMMV.
