RV Places near Goose Pond Colony Resort/Scottsboro Alabama?

Question

Our friends will be staying at the Goose Pond Colony Resort near Scottsboro AL after Labor Day this year (2018). We are looking for a nice campground that is close to them.

Clean, quiet, reasonably priced and perhaps scenic are all we want. We don't need a lot of amenities as we will be busy during each day of our 1 week stay.

Any suggestions based on your experiences in the area?

I also noticed that Goose Pond has its own RV Campground.  Anybody ever stay there?

Desoto State Park, in Ft. Payne, is beautiful.  Not sure how far it is to Scottsboro though.  Make sure you visit Unclaimed Bagged while there
