Safe overnight parking for RV

Hi all. Does anyone have a quick easy way to locate safe overnight parking? Wallmart or other rv friendly establishment parking lots. Quick trip for 3 days....We are leaving at night and cannot ck in to campground until late morning need easy safe overnight stop. Is there a good app for this search?

Keep in mind some campground has an area outside their gates for folks arriving early...

We have stopped at participating WALMARTS many of times.. Some places are even better being Bass Pro Shops that has areas set aside for RV parking.. We always picked out well lit areas to park... There are always churches, RV Sales lots, Police Station parking lots, Road Side rest areas, just to name a few... We have even parked behind hotels with permission...

Never liked doing this at Truck Stops. Too much walking traffic for us - someone banging on your door all night long wanting to wash your truck or something like that hehe...

We always ask if we can park if possible...

Of course if you park at a WALMART you will want to shop in the there too... That was probably the original scheme of things...

  • I have used the RV Parky and Allstay Apps both will show you Campgrounds and other options like Truck stops, Rest areas and Walmarts

An "overnight" stay usually doesn't start in the late morning.
    x2

Almost any parking lot will be fine during the day.
  • Sure lots of "apps" to find campgrounds.
Good Sam has one. I like the consistent quality of KOA but a bit pricey.
Even plain old Google can help.
