It's a real picture of the U.S., the reality in which we live. That said, like any U.S. city, there are good parts and bad parts. Rvers are welcome with open arms and are catered to by valley people. Being a highly Hispanic area, people treat you like family. The prices are right, the food is good and the rv parks a lot of fun. We have the rv currently parked at Casa Del Valle in Alamo and I am coming and going for the next month on a work project. There are some not so nice areas around there, but there are a lot of poor people in the U.S. They are not any different than a rich person, they live, eat, work, and play. I wouldn't paint the valley with a wide brush. It's down home, it's Texas and Mexico combined. As our park manager says, the RGV is an extension of Mexico.
