I didn't mean to offend any Snowbirds. I haven't posted a lot. If this the wrong forum I apologize. I was asking about this area for camping. I guess we our Fulltimers now and not really Snowbirds. We aren't traveling for warmer weather for the winter. We are starting our tour of the States. I don't want to camp somewhere that I only feel safe in the park. The posts I've read has really perked my interest in this area.
LOL, my DH is the same way, he doesn't want to go to the border because he has heard about all the crime. LOL, I guess he doesn't read what goes on in our own backyard. I drove from Laredo to the RGV along the boarder stopping at all the birding spots and let me tell you, ever other car was a boarder patrol, there must have been dozens per mile. I was a single lady and I wandered around and never felt unsafe. Maybe this life style isn't for you, cause I don't know where you would go that doesn't have crime.
