San Antonio, Texas Campgrounds
I plan on going to San Antonio next June for a trip to the Alamo and other sites. Does anyone have any recommended camp grounds? What else is available to see in the area.

The first time we went to SA, we stayed at the KOA. The park was very nice inside but the area is ghetto. Don't expect to leave the park and go eat someplace close. It is also farther away from most attractions. We scouted other campgrounds for the next trip. The second trip we stayed on the west side of the city. There were two parks over there close to each other and near Sea World, etc. I cant remember which one we stayed in but I think it was Admirality?? It was very nice and we felt much safer when coming into and leaving the park. It was much closer to everything we wanted to do and a much better selection of restaurants, shopping, etc.
