KOA is very nice. Large park, friendly staff.
Campland on the bay while a popular location is a dirty dump.
Mission Bay RV Resort is clean but its just a parking lot with narrow spots.
San Diego RV Resort has very tight spots and one way roads. Have to ask manager to open gate onto side street to get out.
Escondido RV Resort has 2 areas. Lower level has tight crowded spots and many full timers. Upper level is newer, nice big wide spots and very clean. San Diego Safari park is nearby.
Further to the north in Temecula is Pechanga RV Resort. Very nice, wide streets, large spots and very clean. One of the nicest RV parks I've stayed at. Casino is next door. Numerous wineries are nearby. 25 miles to Safari park, 55 miles to San Diego.
