Santa Margarita area
Does anybody know of a boondocking area around Santa Margarita Lake area? The closer the better

There's a KOA at/near the lake, also a San Luis Obispo County Park. The nearest other site I know of is Hi Mountain (Los Padres NF) camp. Much of the land in that area seems to be privately owned, making free boondocks difficult.
