Sarasota Area - Any Short-Term Site Availability?

Is anyone currently staying in the Sarasota/Bradenton area where there may be a short-term space available? (Three nights only, next week). Looking for FHU as our next stop is boondocking.

Any recommendations/leads greatly appreciated.
  • We stayed a couple of nights at Sun N Fun resort an amazing place; if you can get in.

According to Reserve America, Myakka River State Park and Rambler's Rest both have availabilities for 3 days next week.

Myakka River is about 10 miles east of Sarasota and Rambler's Rest about 11 miles.

    Find these at http://www.reserveamerica.com/

  • Thanks for the help. Myakka wasn't an option for us, but we'll check those out today. Further suggestions are still appreciated from anyone with an eyeball on an empty site. :)
  • There were a couple of sites at Sun N Fun a few days ago, but those are full now. Suggest you give them a call. Expensive but nice pool, and great laundry.
  • I agree with calling Sun N' Fun. Its the size of a small city. They have permanent residents, seasonals, monthlies, weeklies and overnighters.

A couple of years ago, they had a site for me as a walk in for a week in early March.
    Link.
  • Thank you for the helpful suggestions. We were able to find a site without "Sarasota Sticker Shock".
(Those "free night stay" brochures that are handed out at RV shows really do work.)
