- ChrisatthebeachExplorerHardeeville RV is good if you want close-by, no frills, and jnharley stated they only have laundry and not bath-house. Yes you can was your RV there if you want.
Rivers end at Tybee is good, smaller sites but full hookups and free Wi-Fi. 20 minutes from downtown, but plenty to do at Tybee. - fla-gypsyExplorerDepends on what utilities you need. The area state parks are good but only Skidaway has a few FHU sites if you're lucky enough to get one.
- jnharleyExplorerWe stay at Hardeeville RV Park right across the border in SC. Good price but must be self contained because they do not have any bathrooms (do have laundry). Passport America is accepted and they allow you to wash your RV. It is just 10 minutes from the Savannah Visitor Center.
- tmm2goodExplorerTo bad this website does not have a section to ask specifically about campgrounds.
- Itching2goExplorer IIX4 on Skidaway. We were just there for a little over a week in July. Beautiful campground... among the best we'd ever stayed. Our site was enormous, sheltered under huge Live Oaks draped with Spanish Moss. Full hookups, 50 amp, with cable to boot. Good location as well. About 30 minutes or less to downtown Savannah, and 45 minutes or so to Tybee Island. The kids are back in school there and this is not their busy season, so you shouldn't have a problem getting a reservation.
- Jack_SprattExplorerTybee Island is worth considering
if you like being near the water - azdryheatExplorerSkidaway gets my vote. Our pull-thru site was more than long enough for two of my trailers and-to-end. It's also a beautiful park.

Actually, the Savannah-Chatham School District starting school August 3, so school has already started and your post is wrong. - Retired_JSOExplorerKinda late looking for sites. Most will be full as school is starting soon.o
- eb145Explorer IISkidaway State Park is close to the city with huge sites and huge live oaks with spanish moss. Some of the newer full hookup sites are very long pull throughs. All sites are large.
