Savannah, GA and surrounding area
We're thinking of possibly going to Savannah in October when my son is on his fall school break. It appears there's a fair amount of stuff to do/see, but I'm not at all familiar with the city and would like some input on good/bad areas, etc. I've been to the northern part of the state once visiting the battlefields but haven't been anywhere else. I know all cities have their share of issues but am just wondering if there are any specific things to look out for. I'm also interested in suggestions on what to see and do. I know it's peak hurricane season but what is the "normal" weather like? Thanks.
