We had 2 and used a heavy galvanized chain purchased from Lowes by the foot and a good master lock.
There's no such thing as a good Master lock. All Master locks are relatively easy to pick and all chain is very easily cut.
Bruce
Not all chain is easy to cut. Try and cut this Chain
Better set aside a week or bring a torch.
Even if I couldn't cut through that chain, I could cut through the pipe it is wrapped around with my hacksaw in about two minutes.

Or remove the front wheel from that bike in less than a minute. - MrWizardModerator

Those parking poles are often filled with concrete
Your one tough guy..To cut just the steel in TWO minutes..
You are not going to cut concrete with your hack saw - colliehaulerExplorer IIII have bought an alarm with a pager and will use a chain and lock to the trailer tongue. My bedroom is at the front of the trailer and the Collies would let me know if anyone was outside.
I have read about theft in southern Florida and hope northern Florida is not as bad.
Thanks to all that took the time to reply. - Dog_FolksExplorer

As a Floridian I must protest: Don't believe everything you read.
Of course certain areas of large metro areas have high crime areas but not the entire southern part of the state!
I have camped in SW Florida for over 30 years and NEVER had even one item stolen by humans.
Now raccoons, they are another story for another time. - colliehaulerExplorer III

I not only camped there,
I lived there for my entire adult life. (35 years)
Naples Florida in Southwest Florida is my hometown.
Take normal precautions but don't over think this.
SW Florida has a burglary rate not much higher than Kansas.

Now, now....you know thieves don't mess with 'home boys'

That's not very reassuring right now as there is a post of a person having their trailer stolen in Olathe KS. :E
