Seacliff State Beach, CA

DH went down to Seacliff 2 days ago and talked to the guy at the kiosk, the campground is probably going to be closed for another 3 weeks. There was a sinkhole on the way down to the beach where both a sewer and drainage pipe go down and they are trying to repair this, but the rain continues and they are worried about the construction and damage being above the access to the beach. That's the only way out for the big rigs.

I was down there last weekend and it was still a big mess. The cement ship is looking pretty sad at this point. Pier is closed. I don't ever remember seeing so much damage there. We weren't living here in the 82? storm, but there was a lot of damage then, too. Much more than this last storm.

  • Seacliff was our fav camp gd for many years when it was a lot cheaper to camp there. We were there in the 82 storms and the water was rushing over the bulk head and hitting the back of our TT before the Ranger made us leave. Loved camping so close to the ocean
