Seasonal sites

When we couldn't travel much while I was working, we had a seasonal site and loved it. They did not allow full year camping so no worries like drsteve. When I retired, we could travel so gave up the TT and bought a motorhome. They weren't allowed at the seasonal site so we gave that up as well.

Had a seasonal site in the Thousand Islands for over 20 years. Would still have it but life changes.

We've had a seasonal site for 10 years now and really enjoy being able to just show up and leave at will; much like having a summer cottage minus all the work (which we did for over 20 years).

We have a deck/platform and a large storage bin for chairs, tables etc... we leave the fridge on all the time and just shut off the water and hot water heater when we are away. We also leave our three ceiling vents open under covers all the time. We have campfire wood delivered in bulk.

We still travel on occasion from our seasonal, so for us it's the best of both worlds.
