- BigdogExplorerX2. It's a nice easy run to P.A. and the boat to Victoria for a day trip. Another couple of places are Hurricane Ridge, the Elwha river dam removal project and Salt Creek. A whole lot more, but I'll let you have the fun of looking.
- 2gypsies1Explorer IIIGilgal RV Park is o.k.

Our Tiffin mh club has reservations there next June for a week stay. Big Dog...I hope it's not too tight to maneuver around as several of our members have 40 footers and of course our 43 footer.
We would never try to get our 40' MH in there. I'm surprised a MH club would even consider it. Wooded, narrow roads and only a few for bigger rigs. Certainly not a 43', in my opinion. Fort Worden would be a nice one for big rigs.
Sorry.... my mistake. Our reservations are at the Gilgal rv park in Sequim. I guess it is new and is more in town than the state park.

We stayed there a while back and it's not my favorite Washington State Park but we liked the area. Its sort of parking lot like.
If I were going to do it again, I think I would go to Fort Flagler.
Psarking lot,I think you're thinking about another park. Fort Worden or point Hudson in Port Townsend perhaps.
Sequim Bay is in the woods with a whole bunch of non-hookup sites and a smaller loop of hookup sites that range in size from 40+ feet MHs to much smaller sites. Last time we camped there was in our 27' Wilderness TT. - RVcrazyExplorerToo tight for us!

Can't wait to explore Olymipic Nat Park and make the ferry trip over to Victoria.

I think that there are a couple of sites near the front of the hookup loop that are big enuff. Let me know when you are leaving so that I can come and watch. The bus I drove thru there is an 84 passenger, full 40' plus dropdown mirrors and I made it ok. - Roy_LynneExplorerWe stayed there a while back and it's not my favorite Washington State Park but we liked the area. Ended up in John Wayne marina Resort - just a mile or so toward Sequim. Nice park but not fancy. When we had to give up the RV ( health reasons) we actually stayed 2 weeks in one of the cabins in the "Resort". And will go back! Lovely facility and fantastic view of the Bay!
