I have not camped there as we live in Sequim, but We have driven through and looked at the amenities and it looks good.
Are you familiar with the Washington State park reservation system? Reservation link This site will let you reserve a spot and generally provides previews if the sites themselves.
Also out here there are some very good Clallam County Parks that are well worth a visit. We particularly like Salt Creek Recreation Area Campground that is on the bluff overlooking the Strait of Juan de Fuca. It is about 1 hour west of Sequim Bay.Salt Creek
