Shout out for Mama Gerties Hideaway campground

I just got back from a weekend getaway at Mama Gerties campground in Swannanoa, NC. I got space #32 on the upper level and it was well worth it.

Jan and the staff were great, the wifi was strong, but oh man, that view. Wow.

It was an enjoyable task navigating the hill to get to the site, but most rigs can handle it. I didn't bring my toad along but I am sure you could park yours at the office if you weren't sure your rig could make it towing.

Wide, level, gravel covered spaces, not too close together. Close enough for you to carry on a conversation with your neighbor.

I had an enjoyable quick getaway here and I will definately go again. I highly recommend this CG

  • Mama Gerties is very pretty! We liked it there a lot. There is an awesome coffee shop nearby called Dynamite Roasters. Great coffee!
