Bought that one last year and it works fine. If solar gain isn't enough just add some hot water from the stove.

I have some Reflectix, we might give that a try.

I sure like the idea of the reflectix "concentrator" -- I think that would also work for one of those solar showers, which are those black bags that heat up in the sun.

I took a clean, plastic-Housing Garden Sprayer we had laying around and painted it flat black. When Boondocking, I put a piece of 'Reflectix' in back of it in a half circle up against a small pile of Rocks in a natural formation. This helped concentrate Solar energy to the back Sprayer side not in direct Sunlight. I used the original Sprayer Head. Yah, the mist coming out was kind of fine, but it got the job done, and saved Water. That fine mist cools as it comes out, so you have to let the Water heat up to a higher temp than what you think is comfortable. I suppose you could get a small Drill Bit and make a few holes slightly larger in the Garden Sprayer Head.

Maybe a thread that I think I started or chipped in on, probably in the class B forum, if it was 5-6-7 years back. I planned it as a winter shower for short trips that weren't worth de-winterizing for, still using the shower stall & grey tank.

I had bought a new sprayer from Home Depot sprayer for the project, but hadn't bought the shower wand, hose clamps, and plumbing fittings. But when I finally got around to it months later, I found someone had used the sprayer and returned it. No telling what it was used for; smelled nasty.

When I took it back to HD, I found they had now one with a small shower head included as an alternative to the wand. This was 5-6 years ago, so dunno if you can still find it. It's a 2-gallon RL Flowmaster, Model 1002HP. I've used it several times on winter trips. Pretty slow and pitiful compared to a 'real' shower, but far better then nothing, and beats de- & re-winterizing for 1-2 nights.

I just cut off some of the "wand" on the garden sprayer and used it as is. I have long curly hair and the nozzle that came with the garden sprayer worked just fine for that and a shower. Made a really fine mist at a good pressure and I had plenty of water for washing/rinsing. It gets you plenty wet.

We have one of those.... it just doesn't work so well for many situations. It's very difficult to fill from a hand-pump spigot, and there's not always (actually seldom) a good place to hang it above the shower shelter. It won't warm up much on a cool cloudy day, and there's no practical way to put warm water in it.

All those drawbacks are what got us interested in the pump sprayer option.

If one wants to start from scratch, the black plastic solar shower bladders are not too expensive -- This is only $15, and holds a decent amount of water. In a sunnier climate, I'd not fill it full, but about 1/2 to 2/3 full, then add cold water before using to get the right temperature.

This is a NEW garden sprayer!!!

We have a shower too, but also have limited gray tank capacity that we need to conserve in boondocking situations.

I suggested the one hose inside another, I think it might work.

We were at a hardware store and they did not have a reducing splicer.
