Wow, sounds like a wonderful trip. 6 months on the road with lots of time to see the sights. We did a similar trip but it was 10 weeks and we did not get to see everything we would have liked to. Ours was basically out I-90 to the Olympic Penn, down to the Grand Canyon, across the gulf coast from Galveston to Mobile and then back home. Loved it.
How are you going to handle your mail? That was the biggest issue for us. I received a summons for jury duty the very week after we had left. We met up with friends and neighbors who had come down to Mobile and they brought our mail with them that another neighbor had collected. That was 9 weeks into our trip. As soon as I could call the court clerk I did and she said to just check in when I returned. Could have had a warrant on me for no show for that. Just saying, things come up.
