Back from a good weekend at Skidaway, and it is definitely a place we'll have to go back to. Campground was quiet, well-kept, and had clean facilities. Didn't have much of a chance to explore the park, but what we saw was nice. Overall, the park doesn't look much different than the landscape we have here in FL. Our site was #75, and it was quite unlevel, but we managed fine.
We got there about 2 PM, which was perfect timing. The park was very empty, and I believe we were only about the 2nd or 3rd campers to check-in. However, the place turned into a zoo of people trying to find spots around 5/6 PM. Even into the night, it was still a little hectic. Note to self for our upcoming trip to Unicoi: get up early and go!!
