Walmart allows this practice because it's been proven to be good business.
An overnight stay at a Wal Mart can kill multiple birds with one stop. (to mangle a well known saying) by shopping for food and maybe something for the RV.
Why on earth spend $40 for an RV Slum when all you need to do is park for a few hours and sleep then be on your way?
And I definitely would NOT call ahead. Your chances of getting reliable information over the phone in the Wal Mart system is nil to none. Once there the guy to ask who will really know is the Young man who collects the carts from the parking lot.
