The Biltmore house is about 1.5 hrs. away from Pigeon Forge area. It can be a day trip easily. Now, if you do want to go further north on the Blue Ridge Parkway then I agree with relocating to another campground in NC. The BRP is a very beautiful drive but that's all it is. Not all that much to see on it as far as attractions go. Do you have kids with you? They may get bored easily with it. Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg has plenty of family stuff to do. There's Dollywood, and Ripley's aquarium is top notch. Lots of dinner shows. Titanic exhibit is worth going through. Lots of Putt Putt places. Hiking in the GSMNP is the best. Gotta go up to Newfound Gap and Clingmans dome and Cades Cove. You may not get the chance to go to NC there is so much to do. The Biltmore House is a no misser too, but like I said, its an easy day trip from Pigeon Forge.
