My favorite camping spot is ELKMONT Campground inside the SMOKY MTN NATL PARK which has virtually no cell phone service except at overlooks for Gatlinburg and maybe one spotty TV channel at the camp ground... There is NO HOOKUPs in any of the Natl Park camp grounds where the bubbling brooks are located...
Have no idea what the three local towns of Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and Townsend offer for high speed data Internet. Townsend would be my choice for getting away from the tourist crowds and shops...
