Smoky Mtns-most scenic campground?
Hi we're planning a Smoky Mountains trip. I've read through other posts on TV, but I'd like to know what's the most scenic campground there. Who has the best view to take in with your morning coffee? ...

fyi, in regards to references for Anchor Down in earlier posts , it is not in the Smokies-- several miles away on Douglas Lake, but as others said, if a pool is necessary, you will be outside the park.
Unless you like being tied up in traffic, I'd avoid Pigeon Forge,Gatlinburg, Sevierville.
Maggie Valley,Cherokee and Asheville have many places with pools, but are all outside the park limits but an easy drive into the park and/or the Blue Ridge Parkway.
We will be back at Mama Gerties for a week on our way to Maine this summer. but no pool there that I can recall. Then probably to Maggie for several days before heading north .
