So then Air for, Chicago to LA (rnd trip)was $207.00 and today it is listed from about $300.00 rnd trip.
Airfare is a deal today in comparison.

Console Radio was $75
Imagine paying five months rent for a radio!

I would never have wanted to be around for the "good old days" No modern conveniences, poor health care, no money, unreliable transportation, the list goes on and on. I don't know what was so "good" about them...

even back then it was cheaper to stay home then hit the road and "See The U.S.A. In Your Chevrolet." Some things never change.
