This is our fifth year of snowbirding. The sticks & bricks home is in SE Iowa and we started coming south at the end of December and going back north the first of March. After a couple years of that we now arrive in the Texas Hill Country the first of November and leave the end of April. I got tired of trying to figure out how soon I needed to leave to avoid bad weather and arriving back home just in time to experience the final spring snow storm. We wanted to try the type of travel you're but we found that traveling from place to place was far too expensive for our budget. We now go to the same park every season. It's about 60 miles north of San Antonio and, yes, a bit cooler than Arizona or the RGV, but we really like the park and the people here. Each to his/her own. Hope this helps.
