- linnemjExplorerWe went to Oconee Point COE Campground a little further south. It is a much nicer campground with all sites lakefront. I think that campground closed the end of September.

We just visted this park a month ago but decided to stay at Oconee Point COE Campground instead. I know that the COE cmpground is now closed for the season but if you are planning a trip next year, I would recommend that you stay there.
High Falls campground has gravel sites with little privacy. You might want to see if any lakefront sites are available - they were the best in the park and worth the extra money.
No problem with roads inside or outside the park. They do have one of those entry booths are you enter the park which is a little tight to navigate.
The park is in a great location to do things in the area.
Thanks for your response. Any particular reason why you didn't stay at South Cove? - linnemjExplorerWe just visted this park a month ago but decided to stay at Oconee Point COE Campground instead.
