south Florida campground recommendations

We are looking for your recommendations for a campground in south Florida for next (2016) winter. We are interested in Florida state parks and Army Corp sites. We are familiar with the Keys but need recommendations on south Florida. We will go there and do a drive through soon.
Thanks in advance for sharing your thoughts.

Regarding COE parks-- there are 3 in FL that I am aware of... WP Franklin, Ortona and St. Lucie... the campsites are all very nice and pretty hard to get a reservation for. You may want to check into MidWay CG in the Everglades. Also, there are many county parks like Larry and Penny Thompson,CB Smith, TY park, etc. to investigate .
  • We stayed at Collier-Seminole SP this week in Naples.
Dated facility but clean, peaceful with nice people. We enjoyed two days en route from the Keys to Fl west coast.
